Premises Licence Application Details:

Operating schedule: A premises licence applicant is oblige to complete and submit an operating schedule to their licensing authority. An operating schedule lists opening hours and style of business, and details the licensable activities intended to be conducted on the premises. The operating schedule must also describe what policies will be put in place on the premises in order to promote the licensing objectives: prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, prevention of public nuisance, and protection of children from harm, and under Scottish law the promotion of public health.
Scale plan: A 1:100cm scale drawing of the premises, indicating areas where alcohol is to be sold, as well as fire exits, fire fighting equipment, fire codes and CCTV equipment.
Response to objections: Liaison with local authorities in order to resolve issues raised concerning the application, including objections filed by local residents.
Licensed trade insurance, risk assessments and CCTV systems: The Police will normally insist on the installation of Close Circuit Television to all new licensed premises. Additionally, we provide access to risk assessment and licensed trade insurance services.

A premises licence is mandatory under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Scottish Licensing Act 2005 for a premises hosting any of the following licensable activities:
- The sale by retail of alcohol
- The supply of alcohol by or on behalf of a club to, or to the order of, a member of a club
- The provision of regulated entertainment
- The provision of late-night refreshment
